Do something you love!

In late 2018 we started bouncing the idea of starting a maker-space off friends, family and anyone that would listen...

Made On Earth NYC was born, a business plan was written, and no one would lend me money!  So we slowly bootstrapped the purchase of equipment and the search for a physical space on the Upper East Side (UES) of Manhattan.

Then Covid-19 hit NYC and the world!

Thankfully we hadn't signed a lease yet, there was no point opening an in-person community maker-space when the entire NYC was being told to stay home and isolate.

 

So what now?

My wife and I decided to take a hard right. We love NYC and weren't going anywhere. So we converted a space we already had to a small studio, set up some of tools and equipment we had invested in and started make and selling our creations.

MadeOnEarthNYC.etsy.com was launched… tada!

As of now, about 18 month in, the business is doing really well. We've launched a few specialty stores along the way, most notably DoorHangersByMOE.etsy.com.

 

What we do today

Today we make a series of very popular door hangers and do not disturb signs, along with personalized pencils of various kinds, custom cutting boards and much more.

 

Growing it!

We are now ready to scale the business and are moving beyond just Etsy stores.  Very soon you'll be able to pickup our door hangers, pencils, cutting boards, etc via many of your favorite online marketplaces including Amazon, Google Shopping and Facebook Shopping, as well as directly here at Shop.MadeOnEarth.NYC.
